Sonic cat repellent
Im sick of cats messing in my garden and im thinking of buying a sonic cat repellent
Does any one here have/ use one and are they any good

Don't know about the sonic ones, but if you have a IR security light and an old
washing machine to cannibalise...

i made my own, and yes the sonic ones do work 
kids will hear them as well, adults can sense they are there, but not hear them as such

My neighbour got one of these a year or two ago and it drove me mad with the constant high-pitched whining, pulsing sound. I didn't know what it
was at first, thinking that maybe it was a dodgy street light or something. I spoke to my neighbour about it to see if he could hear it but he said he
couldn't. Then about 30 seconds later the sound stopped and I saw my neighbour unplugging something in his greenhouse. It later became apparent
it was a cat repeller.
The funny thing was that our cats would quite happily sit beside me on our patio and the sound never bothered them in the slightest but it gave me a
bloody headache! I asked my neighbour if my cats were causing him any trouble and he said no, so I asked if he would either discontinue using his
sonic cat repeller or put it at the other side of his garden where I couldn't hear it. He said it didn't work anyway and binned it.

Get some Lion or Tiger manure from your local zoo. If you dig this into your borders your plants will grow nicely and cats will stay well away!

Yep water pistols work or just chucking stuff at them. They get the hang of things very quickly and stay away.

Ive been using a spray on smelly stuff, seems to work but needs reapplying every so often. (weekly ish)

eat lots of oranges, and leave the peel laying about your garden. cats don't like the smell

Ive tried lion shite before, and surprisingly works very well. I forget where i got it from now.
The other alternative, is to use a Sub Sonic method of the .22 variety.
Weve got a rabbit and two chickens. The chickens will make loads of noise and chase the cat out, and the rabbit will just run after the cats.

You should ask you self how you or your family would feel after being shot with either weapon.

Quite right Mango, I would personally kick the sh1t out of anyone I witnessed shooting a domestic animal.

I am a cat lover but don't have any because I am very allergic to them. One weekend I picked up 49 cat poops from my front garden. I tried
various gels, powders, sprays etc but the little buggers simply regarded MY garden as a toilet and were using it every day. I eventually resorted to
the sonic repellent and straight away they decided to give my garden a wide berth. Pretty soon I moved the gizmo to the back garden, as some cats were
hunting newly hatched birds around the many nest sites we have there.
Same result - it worked like a charm.

Get a cat, that'll stop them cr**ping in your garden.
There's those little statue things of a cat with reflective eyes supposed to keep them out if they work..

A previous neighbour reckoned that shining a laser near to the cars was enough to scare them off - not a high-powered one, just a laser pointer, and
not right at them, just nearby.
The bright red spot freaks them out (allegedly).

most cats love chasing laser spots, theres loads of youtube videos showing cats going insane trying to catch them
