OT - Big Rucksacks ?
I know there are a few people on here that do a bit a walking - so what bags are you all using ?
I've got an old karrimor panther 65 that I love (must be 15 years old), but its not quite big enough...
idealy I'd like a bigger version of what I've got, but the new karrimor's I've seen just arn't as good as the old ones
so I'm looking for something about ~80L and it needs to last - any suggestions ?
(or better yet anyone got an old karrimor in good nick that they want to sell ? )

If you finished the DAX you would not have to walk
Just buy the most expensive camping gear that's the lightest/smallest and you will have no problem.

You need to go on bushcraft uk for stuff like this. Who builds a car to go walking man ? Outdoor
GB might have something.

Its haqrd to recomend something like this....
The only way really is to go to a few proper outdoor shops and try them all on, find which one fits you the best...

If you get one big enough you could even put the Dax in it and take it to work to finish it....

Best to go to a couple of shops try some packs for size then buy online when you know what you want. Best to stick with a decent manufacturer in case
it rips first time out - your friends karrimor, Berghaus, Macpac etc
Round here there is lots of competition - every second shop is loaded with gear and a trip to George Fishers in j Keswick can get some useful advice
from clued up operatives. Cotswold sell on line and give discounts to people involved in Duke of Edinburgh etc

funny you should say that, the one bag I keep coming back to is this one:

I've had good service from
www.highlander-pro-force.com/ www.highlander-outdoor.com - they manufacture the stuff themselves and the 3 or 4 orders I've had have come the
next day. Quality seems ok. 'military' sacks to 88/99l and 'bergens to 120l!'
