Yes i had a 2000 SRAD which was chipped and tuned.
Good bikes, (if a little heavy) but i loved mine.
Check that your model isnt the one which had the cam chain tensioner recall. Mine was, and it had been bodged, so when i sold it to Carnell, they
phoned me afterwards to say that id sold them a timebomb.... That was how I bought it too.

I had a 2000 model. Very quick and as said above a little heavy. It was a very nice bike.

I can insure the CBR 600F for £260 and the GSXR for £370. is it worth the extra insurance?
Also what year had the dodgy cam chain issues?

Me too, every time. The F is a sports tourer. The R is a sports bike.
I had a CBR1000F which was fantastic long distance, and turned into a race bike when i wanted it to.
The R was just a tamed race bike and wanted to race everywhere. I commuted in all weather on mine, and loved it.

Richard.
