MOTO 2 Fatality...

RIP Shoya Tomizawa... only 19 years old

Had a low-side off and was run over by the two bikes behind him. The Marshalls didn't exactly cover themselves in glory - they scooped him on a stretcher and then promptly dropped him!

In another incident today one of the riders lost a finger... neither he, nor the commentary guys made much of it - just comes with the territory in their world.

Never good when we lose a rider. It really was a shocking accident. It should of been red flagged. Made me feel sick seeing it live on telly this morning.
RIP Tomizawa.

They were really playing it down on the TV. I know it sort of goes with the territory, but what a waste at 19 y.o.! Can't be nice for the other 2 guys involved either.

Wasn't there one last week at Indianapolis in similar circumstances last week too?

R.I.P.Shoya

terrible accident, still haunted by Jones' crash at brands two years ago, almost the same deal.

I think that Shoya ran with Katos' number 74 on his leathers, killed at suzuka on a rcv211v 990 in 03 i think.

not good at all

Very sad.. Scott Redding must be devastated as it was him that ran over Shoya, nothing he could have done to avoid it though.

Redding looked to be having one of his best races ever as well.

Absolutely gutted! Not sure I would like to race at that circuit with those marshal's in case I hurt myself more after an accident! Clowns!
