Make, model and problem would be a help
However, if it is a so called "frost free" fridge/ freezer with fan in freezer, and the fridge is not cooling, but the freezer is, defrost it for 24hrs, that works 90% of the time

Not in mine , I only keep the beer in it. Had problems once with an old fridge that kept icing up, it was the door seal not sealing.

As said whats it doing?

Iv just put a defrost heater in the freezer of mine because the freezer wasnt freezing very well and the fridge wasnt that cold. Also fitted a door seal while was at it. Eve a slight gap is enough to let heat in and freeze it up.

A defrost would solve it for a while but it would frost up again.

If there's water at the bottom it's probably a blocked drain hole - pipe cleaner with a little bleach on it (to kill the mould that's usually the culprit) sorted mine.

Twice the distance from the middle to the end.

Or is it 20 minutes?
