The mark of a REAL man!
If a man were measured, not by horsepower, but by the number of (working) pistons he owned then what size of a man would you be?
Cheers, Rorty.

Four in the company car (but it's a diesel, does that count against), three in the wife's car (and thats a Matiz so probably losing more
points there), and four in a pinto sitting on the floor of my garage??

What counts as working? Owning, running or roadworthy?
I went with 'running', 'owning' would have put me in the same catagory
Fiesta XR2 == 4
Fiesta mk1 == 4
Orion == 4
306 Cab == 6
Viento == 6
Lawn mower = 1
Strimmer == 1
Assuming the last two count that makes 26
There's also my other XR2 but the engine is out atm so technically not running.

Aww, before we killed them I would have had an extra 10 from the Ghia 4x4 and Cortina (both runners if not exactly street legal)...
But:
4 in the Puma.
4 in my half of the V8
PS. ChrisW, your 306 is a 6 cyl?!
PPS. Anyone american is certain to have an advantage here, they put V8s in fooking milkfloats over there.

Not fair!!!
What about rotary engine drivers? .
4 in van, 4 in locost, 2 in bike and 1 in chainsaw, 11 total. Not something I'd ever thought about before actually. Do the two in my compressor
count as well? .

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Yes, but it will go very fast in a straight line! Actually, they're apparently not too bad as the v6 (being all alloy) weighs about the same
as the four pot and sits slightly further forward.
I have described it on numerous occasions as being 'like driving a lilo'
The Puma conversion sounds interesting. The chap I used to share a house with has one and he's always dreaming about Cossie conversions. I
always tried to encourage him so I could have his old engine. The 1.7 Zetec-S with VVT doesn't half take off when it hits 6000rpm.

Yeah the 1.7 is a cracking little engine. The nicest thing about it is the bags of midrange pull is has compared to most 16v engines of that size
(thanks to variable timing it has a v flat torque curve and only 1000kg to haul).
I asked before if anyone knew of a seven using it and James said he knew someone with a Westy with that engine.
I think a more sane (and probably much cheaper conversion is to put a racing puma engine in it, that's 156bhp I think (same engine, just tuned
by tickford). However It'd probably be cheaper to sell mine, buy a Racing Puma and insure it for a year or two!
The 306 should fly with that V6 though, they are about 210bhp, no?
