Fibre Optic Map

Has anyone come across a map showing where fibre-optic cables have (so far) been laid?

I'm struggling to find anything on the net!

I'm in East Lothian if that makes a difference?

there is a GIS database that we use but its company use only

There is a free one but I cant remember what its called, that shows the location of all services.

each of the services will be marked according to its own identity, e.g., Power Cables (P), Water Pipes (W), Telecommunication Cables (T), Fiber Optic Cables (F), Sewer Pipes (S), Gas Pipes (G)

If you go to BT's Infinity site and register an interest this will help. BT's criteria is that if at least 1000 register an interest on a given exchange then it will be considered.
Talk Talk are also working with BT on Fibre roll out.
Cheers,
Bob
