I think most people just use remote control car tyres.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I don't think they are needed if the shock is inside the area created by the wishbones.
The requirement was removed in the last draft of the IVA manual.

But for the sake of a couple of quid, it's easier to stick some covers on anyway than take the chance failing and having to do a re-test.
I used RC car tyres on mine, but I guess cv boots would look a little more fit for purpose.

A mate of mine used the front fork gaitors from a dirt bike to cover the top mounting of his shocks for iva. As said above the area inside the
wishbones is exempt from radius testing now.
