How interesting, makes you wonder about it, if he challenges you to go out and get a copy and see for your self rather than watching his copy, I cant think of an easy explanation. Or its simple to figure out. Dr. Emmett Brown is up to his old tricks again

I take it you assume that as it's slim and black, it must be an old Motorola.

Perhaps he's a PR bloke for the Chaplin film copyright holders, doing his job to boost sales.
Have you bought your copy yet?

Whatch out for more appearances in other movies.

On perhaps I am a time traveller too, just putting you all off the scent.

P.S. just had look at my car when it's finished. It will look quite good. I will be proud of it. Oops.

Probably but fun to think about. He's not claiming it to be a phone as such, more a comunications device. Unlikly but kinda fun..

I saw that the other day when it was on the BBC site, it is rather odd as it does look like a man dressed as a woman talking into a box (At a time when you couldn't have even done that with Radio waves).

I like that many people have said, 'Impossible, he wouldn't get any signal' as I'm sure if it really is a time traveller, making a mobile phone like device work in the past wouldn't be a patch on building a time machine.

thats partly the reason i posted the thread on here i knew someone would pick up on the phone signal ....... if you can build a time machine anything must be possible

I thought it was so funny looking through the comments because there were people for whom the fact that there would be no signal was proof that it wasn't a time traveller.
