Anyone had bother with these lot....?
Parcel2go.com
I sent a parcel to Spain with them in September via Parcelforce, it never got there, they admit that. Now all I want is my money back. The value was
approx £400 and I paid extra to insure the parcel to that amount. I can accept the fact they've lost it no problem.
The biggest issue is that they are really dragging their heels on settling the matter to my satisfaction. The only contact I have is via email, a
reply takes several days and that basically fobs me off telling me they are still looking into it and they will let me know shortly, its really
starting to wee me off now, its over a month since paypal refunded my customer and I'm £400 out of pocket!
Just wondered if anyone else has had similar problems and if so how did they succeed in solving them.
Anyone who has a suggestion as to what I can do next please feel free to post
In finishing I've got to say that I have sent loads of parcels with this lot over the past 6 months and they have all been delivered on time and
the service has been good. Customer services when things go wrong though........now thats another matter!!!

Yep, stitched me up like a kipper.
I had a ST170 manifold collected by them. It got to within a mile of my house (DHL depot) next thing it was in manchester, reported damaged packaging
and no delivery details. So how did they know it was my parcel?? Anyway they "found" an address inside and delivered it somewhere, but for
data protection refused to tell me where, but promised to look into it.
As I arranged the pickup paypal were not interested (fair enough) and because I didn't have the paperwork as it wasn't colected from me,
p2g refused everything. So I was out of pocket. Thought about small claims, but a solicitor friend told me to have a beer or 2, calm down and forget
about it. Good advice as it was £50 so really not worth all the agggro it could have caused. £400 a bit different though.
You may well need to get nasty, they really do not like paying up. They will fudge it and mess you about until you go away. And I suspect this is the
case with all these cut price delivery companies. It is only when it goes wrong that they show their true colours.

Parcel2Go woll be onward claiming from Parcelforce, so you have P2G's enquiries, plus Parcelforce's enquiries to wait for.
Pursue it though Parcelforce quite readily pay up, it is cheaper than thoroughly investigating every claim.

Use small claims court, I did this with the Post Office who tried to wriggle out of a claim.
It cost £30 (which was added to claim) and the Post Office coughed up with a week to go before court, I suspect that sending a egal bod from London to
Wolverhamton for a day to lose the case was going to cost more than the £130 they paid out.
The good part about the small claims path is that if you get a judgeent in your favour and they still wont pay you can issue a winding up order which
forces liquidation - which is a tad inconvenient.

It took parcelforce 11months to send me a claim cheque through the post.... so you might be waiting a little longer yet
I havent used P2G since they failed to pick up on several occasions.
I always use Interparcel now and have never had a problem.

Cheers guys, I was thinking of going down the small claims route if it isn't settled in the next 30days, I don't think I can be any fairer
than that really.
How much hassle is using the small claims system?

Two months. Wow you're patient. It doesn't take that long to work out that it's not going to arrive now and pay up. I'd go for
the small claims court option. AFAIR you can do the whole submission online now and it's super quick.

Result .....I think, managed to get a phone number, rang it and waited in the queue...15 minutes to get an answer, whinged a bit in a pleasant but
purposeful way, asked for the supervisor etc (who was out of the office of course) and was promised a call back. Yeah right.
Anyway 30 minutes later a call back to say they were ready to settle the claim, full amount of value of item plus carriage costs all I had to do was
decide whether to take £400 worth of Parcel2go vouchers or a cheque to the value of, now let me think a moment ....I don't think.
Heres hoping in the next few days, thanks for all the help
