Which alarm PIR for garage
I've just installed a galaxy 8 system into my garage (its quite old but A OK).
Which pir do I want for the garage, quad or dual??
Also any recomendations.

I've a load of decent new pir's somewhere if you're interested? From an MOD contract I ran so good quality.

whoever instlled our alarm (british gas? or dyno? can't remember) said don't use PIRs in a garage, because a hot car cooling down can set
the alarm off.
he said to fit the normal door sensors on the front and back doors of our garage. works well

Dual Tech, ie. a unit that relys on both pir (heat movement) and microwave (physical movement) before giving an alarm condition.
Just keep it clear of spiders and christmas decorations....
