Anyone Else Had This Bug?

Been floating between the bedroom and the bathroom since teatime on hogmanay. Made it to the livingroom last night for a spot of telly, but didn't last long!

Happy new year indeed!

It's drying up now Ivan, so I (sorry, you) should be safe!

Hamish is a bit of a 4x4 geek, so knows all the pro's and con's of the Navara and it's stablemates (L200, Hilux, Ranger, etc). He's been pretty happy with the Navara and has just ordered a new one.

Hasn't had any major gripes.

We have all had varying flu type symptoms here, some of us worse than others. I dont normally contract anything, but have felt pretty grim for a week or so (probably with lying in the snow keeping the Lada together)

Anyway time to get up and resume call of duty - black ops

I might/maybe have a Navara by the end of the month. Makes sense with all the crap I need to move, and being Saabless for two months due to the snow has been a serious pain.

We've all had flu (and not the man variety either) since Xmas Eve and it really is a doozey this time. It seems to have a physical AND psychological effect and makes you feel really low...... with stupendous flatulence too incidentally! Feeling a bit more human-like now but still coughing and sneezing after nearly two weeks!

H5N1 bird flu has been going around, maybe that's what you've all had?

Not got that particular bug but had similar and now have what I would describe as a severe cold downgraded from a mild flu as I've stopped sweating, which incidentally had the most foul odour I have produced since having glandular fever.

My other half probably is making the first steps of recovery from the flu.
Happy New Year indeed

I've had flu since last Monday, really been down with it struggling to keep awake at times and it's just lifting now. It was odd as it started with ribs aching which I thought was due to being outside in the cold and coughing and within an hour I was shaking like a leaf and every joint ached. My wife's been feeding me Lemsip max strength capsules and made some honey, lemon and ginger drink which works wonders for the sore throat but the pressure in my head has been agony. Today is the first day I have been up for more than 4 hours and my sense of smell is just starting to come back. No toilet problems though, that must be something different to what I have.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

My son got sent home from school on Tuesday 14th December with a bad cough, which was so bad he could hardly breathe. He's still coughing a bit now, but feels OK in himself, which is a huge improvement over the previous 2 weeks!

My wife and 18month old daughter got the same cough on Christmas eve and have been ill ever since. Finally managed to convince my wife to go to the docs when she started coughing up blood. The doc signed her off work for another week, and said "I'm not going to put Swine Flu on the certificate, but stay away from anyone who may be at risk from exposure to it"?!?

So I've spent the entire Christmas period feeding everyone calpol / paracetamol and various antibiotics and tamiflu stuff.

So on New Years Day, with all of them safely dosed up on drugs I went out for a mountain bike ride, nothing strenous, just a hour in the saddle. By that night I was running a temperature, aching bones, nasty cough and sore head!

And I've got to start work again tomorrow!
