suround sound for panasonic viera tv

Are there any tv engineers out there?
Looking to buy a suround sound speaker set up for my tv . I dont need a home cinema type, just speakers preferably with a wireless setup for the rear speakers.
Has any-one any experience of these things? Budget about 200 quid?
Regards Denis.

Have you considered a soundbar?

They are supposed to give surround sound but from a front mounted unit.

I have not heard one, but people say good things about yamaha ones.

I would save up a few more quid and get a proper surround sound. Those sound bars are ok, but are not a proper surround sound solution, just better front speakers really.

I'm selling a system for my father in law (when I finally get round to it), check out my post halfway down this thread for the details:

This will give you proper surround sound for a third of it's new price - just £130.
