Someone, somewhere, I think hasnt got a real job and just produces bollox for people to resond to. My bin is a little fuller today.

Strange to see what matters to people. Last week I saw two six year olds sleeping on the pavement with their grandmother holding out a mcdonalds cup for money.

Get back here, and it seems to be important to ask me questions, in case I have been sitting in 150db noise, with my feet round the back of my head trying to decypher a teletype printer in -30 degree wind, and I never pointed it out.

Yours

Apparently "Risk Assesment" takes no longer than 1 day/month. Well, excuse me but THAT is botal tollacks too... I my experience doing Rish Assesments on reems of paper, friggin' Tippex, Staplers and the like are basically jobs for the boys. The amount of paperwork I had to do regarding R.A. and C.O.S.H.H. basically took up a whole day per week!

I blame the government! Total Wakners!

Sounds familiar - I've just spend the afternoon justifying what I've been spending my time on for the last 3.5 years I've worked here. And as I have no records (never was any good with paperwork) I made the lot up

Let's hope no one notices eh?

Chris

I've been on a course for this sort of thing. 'Workstation assessor' is one of the items in my job description. basically common sense stuff, like position of monitor, chair/desk etc etc..

and yes, we have a form that is several pages long too.

Ned.

Spent the last year and probably the next year on Occupational and Product risk assessements for the overhaul of 2 fleets of London Underground trains - makes the VDU RA look like a walk in the park.

It's still a load of crap though......
