Not too sure on an exact value scootz, but we have a Disco and have looked at commercials in the past. They are not that common and seem quite popular among Landy owners. So I would have a look at previous auctions on the same sort of truck and do not let it go for stupid money. It really depends on how much work will need doing but be careful, there are a lot of people out there who will tell you allsorts of garbage, Discos are fetching pretty good money still.

See! Told you they were popular, be carfeul mate

Edit:

just had a look at it mate, doesn't seem as bad as an awful lot I've looked at. Parts for them are pretty reasonable really and there are plenty about for spares too.

Cheers JB.

There does seem to be a fair amount of interest, so I'll put on my bargaining-hat tonight.

No worries mate, let me have a quick ask on the Landy forums I use and I'll let you know. Try not to make any sudden decisions tonight, if they are really intrested they'll hang on 'till morning

Scotty - This MOT failure went got 1k eBay Item and with a wash and a quick clean out your's really isn't that bad!

Based on completed listings I'd ask at least £1300!

My brother recently sold a really rough one. It hadnt been MOTed for over a year. It had been used by a farm labourer and was basically a shed. A sheep dog had lived in it for years. Every panel was bashed or gashed, rear door was hanging off its top hinge.
He still took £575.00 for it.
It started off the button, didnt have a mark on the chassis. Good axles can fetch £200.00 each,
gearbox(c/w transfer box)£300.00, 200TDi engine £500.00.
Hope this helps and dont give it away.

£255 is way too low....

... I'll be round with £300 later on

but seriously - good luck with the sale

the only thing I can suggest is looking at the adds in the back of the landrover mags. / forums etc to see what other folk are asking

then again I might not be the one to ask - I've only ever sold 2 cars myself..... and Mango bought both of them

It should not have an MOT with that rust, when they go at the back anything above £500 is a bonus.

My mate picks these up for less than that, but its all in the eye of the beholder

scootz, do you know if it is 200TDi or 300TDi?

Visual way to tell in the engine bay is that I think the 200's have V-belts and the 300's have serpentine (the onbe's with multiple ridges running around the belt.

You may be on to a winner 'cos the 'off road' mud pluggers all go for 3 door 300tdi's which are quite rare.

Maybe need to advertise it in the right place.

Spot on observation ! 3 door commercials are thin on the ground, let alone 3 door car derived ones, and are popular with the off road fraternity.

Scott do you want the link posting on the 4x4 club I was in a while ago - Its a local club to Northumberland & Borders ?

May generate some more interest, the fact it has 12 bids , on day 1 of 5 is looking good.

Px a Saab lol ?
