Where can i find classic motorcycles for restoration

Hi all

Somebody i know is looking for a pre 1950 type motorcycle in need of restoration etc,he is not really bothered what make, more a case of if he likes the look of it he will buy it.

He wants it as a project to do over a period of time so condition not that important as long as it is complete.

Does anybody know who might have one for sale or any auctions/sales with this sort of thing in it

Many thanks

you can usually pick them up at Newark Autojumble , run by pennyfarthing fairs last Sunday in the month I think

Tend to find that classic bikes (and cars for that matter) tend to only be a decent bargain if you hear about them by word of mouth and the person just wants the space back.

Any of the trading websites and Ebay etc. don't often have that much in the way of bargains anymore IMHO, apart from the odd one now and then.

As said, best bet is to trawl auto jumbles for something that catches the eye. I know some people who are into classic bikes so will ask if anyone knows of anything.
