I dont believe it

Last night on the way home from the pub...I saw the road fairies resurfacing a section...properly :O

It must be a mistake, cause edinburgh council only wastes taxpayers money on useless crap nobody wants...

LOL

they've actually been quite good out here in east lothinan for once
they are doing quite a few of the small side roads round haddington at the moment
but I'm sure scottish water will be along soon to destroy it (again - every decent bit of road out here )

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Bl**dy tram fiasco in Edinburgh!

What a spectacular waste of money and bad planing (and don't get me started on the parliament!).

thats what we want to know

so far we've paid millions of pounds (they are now talking about £600,000,000 or more ) to have most of the city centre roads destroyed and/or blocked aswell as rebuilding alot of major junctions to make them worse - and all they've got to show for it is one tram parked on princes street that can't go anywhere
(although it is funny watching tourists get on it )

even I'd ratehr they'd spent the money on the glasgow airport rail link - and I'm an east coast man !

Even if they do eventually set up a tram network they'll eventually remember why every city in the UK ditched them and spend the same sort of money getting read of them.

Gloucestershire recycle their roads - the potholes get so big that you end up re-using the old road surface 3" below ..............simples
