seat fitting

its now time to fit my seats,bought some runners off of kitspares and came to fit them but due to the sliding mechanism cannot bolt straight to the floor.is it ok to have spacers to lift the runners a bit and if so what have you used.also where do you find the washers to spread the load from. any help appreciated

I used spacers on mine, just long enough to suit, with M8 cap head bolts and nyloc nuts. The load spreading washer I used are what known as penny, mud guard or repair washers. M8 are O/D 38 mm dia. Get them from here or your local motor factors.
