Employ a chimp (me)

This might sound a little weird... But... anyway..

I am now a (mature) university student which means I get really nice long summer hollidays. Brilliant in principle, but to actually GO anyway you need money...

So I am thinking, I now have a fair bit of personal experience in building type work, heating system design and installation (including heatpumps), electrical work having now wired a couple of houses up to wiring regs spec... etc etc... plus of course having built a couple of cars, several hovercraft etc....

I seem to get most enjoyment out of acutally building/making things but just cant afford to start another project... so if someone else needs help with theirs... why not!?

Was thinking it would be nice to do some odd jobs over the summer for people, in the hope that the pocket money it produces will pay to feed me and keep me mobile so I can travel (even if it is only in the UK!)

Would love to be able to helpout on a proper self-build eco type house using traditional skills.... but would settle for any type of work as long as it does not involve too much sitting down...

Would be about from end of June to start of Sept....

Anyone any suggestions, or ideas for forums where people request help!?

Just watch that you are indeed covered for insurance and personal injury if something was to go wrong, not saying it will but better safe than sorry. I have to have cover for my house which I'm building for any building contractors who are working on it for me, likewise they also have their own cover. Many house policy’s do but its worth checking to what extent beforehand.

You really shouldn't be thinking of electrical work unless you can certify your work.
