PCB Connector Source - Model Heli
Hi,
Just been repairing my model heli and made a booboo - the power connector for the main motor on the PCB wasn't flush so was able to wobble. When
I plugged the motor back in, it wobbled a bit too far and broke it's leg.
Don't really want to splash out £40-50 for a PCB when it's a component that costs pence that's the problem...
Worse case at the moment is I solder the motor leads direct to the PCB...but would rather keep the ability to unplug it...
Anyone know a source for teeny tiny pcb plugs like the white one below...?

PS For scale, the other set of pins are the data connectors of an old 2.5in laptop drive...
PPS it's an E-Flite mSR...

I'd solder the leads on to the PCB then use connector further down on the wires to still disconnect it if you need too. A standard servo
extension lead would be my first call, just remove the signal wire to leave the two power supply ones
what you need is a servo wire like this but take off the orange or white wire, cut the cable in half and then plug each connector in to itself -
I fly a raptor 90 3D with an OS 91, love it

I would do exactly as Whippy says,
those small lugs and plugs are pretty weak
I fly a mini titan!!

I'd solder it directly and if I ever needed to replace the motor just cut + splice the wires (to avoid having to muck around with the PCB
again).
But of course helicopters are the work of satan anyway. There's one bloke at my club who I have sneeking suspision actually is satan. He comes
over with a big ass 3D glow machine and I'm never entirely sure how much control he has over it when it's doing what it's doing. He
never crashes but certainly whenever he turns up a number of flyers stop and wander over to the wood nearby for a bit of cover
Someone brought the new 3D blade to our club last weekend. Pretty nice, struggled a bit to keep an inverted hover but it had a good go considering how
small it is...

wonder how many others on here fly r/c aircraft?
I've been flying them for over 28 years and it's my fav hobbly of them all, actually waiting just now on glue drying on a balsa plane wing
so I can get on to covering it - another T240 but a float plane version with retracts

Weight would be my piggest concern...these plugs are 3-4x the size...

yeah but the plugs are almost hollow and weigh nothing even for a indoor heli
