don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

sweepstake
Did a sweepstake on board the ship we were on last year and no one won, pretty much whole ship watched the race, two minutes later some american that
only put in the sweepstake to take the last horse only walks in to realise he has bloody won it.
Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I've never bet on the grand national although I have competed at Aintree..... :-) And if you think those jumps look high from a horse, imagine
what they look like from a race car on soaking wet tarmac right next to them! :-)

Last time I backed on the National was in 1958, horse called Mr What came in first so reconing I was ahead I haven't backed sinse. Oh!
winnings were £2 10shillings, last of the big spenders, Cheers Ray
To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

only bet on 2 horses in my life
one returned £12 ish, but was back in the days that you had to pay tax on it, and I didnt understand, so I had to pay it on my winning, instead of the
stake
the second horse returned over £32k
and I have never bet on a horse again
heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it breaks, hit them with it
