industrial professional hot glue gun advice
i need to buy a hot melt glue gun that pumps it out like butter the best i can find is around 100 watt Arrow Tr550 for £20 i dont want to spend more
than £30 as i will only use it for the one job (glueing down plywood strips 10cm x 40cm around 500 of them) i normaly use grip-fill but would like to
try the hot melt gun as i have been told its just as fast if not faster and works out a lot cheeper with a stronger grip .(a 250w or 400w one would be
great)

How about an old saucepan, heat a load in it gently, then paint or trowel it on?
From my experience using hot melt, its not much good for volume as it starts to set before you get to the other end as its too slow.

Hot melt gun seems like the wrong product for that application.
A good wood glue or any above mentioned evo stick style glue I think would be better.
If you buy in bulk then contact adhesive is cheap and good.
A nice tip for gluing ply, mdf or other man made style of wood is to score it first. I normally use a comfortable to hold stanley knife and cut cross
hatches approx 1" apart over the contact patches. Hold the blade angled to one side at about 45 deg to kick the cut wood up creating an almost
hooked surface. Dust down the wood then apply glue. It will not come apart then!!
Good luck
