Go peds

Anyone know about these?? (I know absolutely nothing)

After one for Le Mans in 5 weeks time. It needs to be powerful enough to lug my lardy arse around and not get stuck on rough grassy terrain. Ideally second hand as I've got two project cars on the go with big bills looming!

I see there are some that are belt or chain driven, and some where some kind of spindle drops onto the tyre. The latter sounds a bit of a botch to me - is that the case? I guess chain ones would only be as good as the clutch?

What should I be looking for? any brands to recommend? Or avoid?

Anyone got one for sale??

Chris

I wouldnt worry about the clutch. The cheap chinese one on my lads minimoto would pull two silly adults around no problem.

I bought a go ped off ebay for £35. Its the usual Chinese crap but it will pull my chubby arse all over the place. Its a 39cc chain drive jobby. You could'vr borrowed it if you were local!

I have a genuine Goped sport, is great fun, sadly ilegal to use anywhere in the UK except private property, which restricts its use alot. I paid about £400 back in 2003, still runs well, uses the spindle but you can get lots of spares and is just about capable of running with both me and my wife on the back (im 14 stone, shes 8!)

Will the 'sport' cope with rough grass? Or am I best with a 'bigfoot' for that?
