OT - Help needed (flash video / powerpoint)

I've been given a flash video at work and the boss wants me to stick it into a powerpoint presentation for him

I'm lead to beleve you can include *.avi files but I'd need to convert it (which I've no idea how to achive)

whats the best way to go about this ?
Any suggestions / advice is welcome

cheers
-Robert
