Coax too twin video input? what connections?
Ive got a video player in the loft room(remote) and the out put is Coax only so that goes down through the wall 2 floors and I have a Coax socket on
my wall in kitchen, Ive got a screen that only excepts either Coax Aerial in (which wont work for me as its aerial only) or 2 small jacks video
input? which is one i need too use.
So my question is, can i get a lead that converts from Male Coax to twin male small jacks ??
Or am i right in thinking only one of these connections is video signal? so whats the other?

post a picture of the inputs and I'll try and help.
The video out is normally 1v p-p, and is often on a yellow phono style plug/socket when split out. Any audio will be on either red or white for
R&L or perhaps on black if mono.
You may well have video & audio in.
If however the sockets look like headphone sockets, then you'll need to read the instructions (!) and determine what is expected where.

As above really pics and a read of the manual is needed.
IT sounds like they are 3.5mm jack inputs. If that is the case then you can get single, double or even tripple pole plug. YOu will not know what is
needed or in what order.

The two sockets will probably be RCA's for video and audio, as the tv is most likely mono? If your saying you cant use the RF socket because you
need it free to plug the aerial into the tv then your best bet is to plug an aerial into the video you have upstairs and that will pipe down both the
aerial and video signal combined via coax. The video recorder will act as a signal booster too.

Yea 2 its got 3.5mm sockets and actually has written on audio in, video in so how do i convert COax to 3.5mm jacks x 2?
Edit too say, what if i connect sky box instead off the video and use the Coax video out socket, would that make it easier - pics comming.

the coax only carries video, and so the centre of the coax is to the tip of the 3.5mm, the outer of the coax is to the body of the 3.5mm,...

You can't get separate audio and video off one coax.
The coax output from your video player is probably on Channel 36 so you need to feed that to your drop and connect the kitchen outlet to the coax
aerial in on your screen and tune the screen to Channel36.
I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.

this is the side- channel 36 you say? hows that? what if i use sky?
its a novel odys slim tv, has audio in audio out, vid in vid out.

Yea, sorry my camera doesn't like close ups.
Anyway, so I get a coax to 3.5mm Jack adapter, plug into video in and turn tv to av and tgats it?? So what's the audio input for??
EDIT to say, even better a lenght of cable with a adaptor -
