A good week

Just spent a week touring the Rhine Valley on a restored 1980's Honda CB750-F2. Brilliant machine and he only wants €1000 for it. It's mine.

Then went to a concert with Nazareth, who were brilliant, same voice 40 years on, and Uriah Heep who WERE one of my favourites. Now, way, way, too loud so you can't understand what he was singing and Mike Box fingers are not what they were.

Then yesterday went to the German cup final. Shalke 04 won 5-0, playing a lot better than when they played Man. U.

Tomorrow, to Canterbury, for tea bags!!

I once saw Nazareth playing support to a band who have made a career out of knowing three chords.
The guitarist that night stays very local to me, Billy Rankin. Although no longer with Nazareth I believe.

Darrell Sweet (Nazareths drummer) was a friend of the family. When I was ickle, I used to wander through his house and wonder why he had 'golden plates' on his walls!
