OT - Staying in York ?

anyone got any recommendations for staying in/near York?

I'm looking for a hotel/B&B/guest house, ideally in/near the city centre (with parking if possible)
it must be clean and comfy with en suite rooms, the nicer the better

obviously I'd also like it nice and cheap, I'm prepared to pay a bit more for the right room (but not silly money - say £200/night max. for a top notch room)

http://www.mountroyale.co.uk/ probably 15 mins walk from centre?

See if Stuart Oxtoby will take a call? Tell him Richard from Ben Johnsons sent you, haven't seen him for few years since I've come over to Oz

Cheers

Rich

Churchill Hotel .... Very comfortable and resonable price near city centre. Provided you don't mind endless pictures of Winston!

+1 for The Churchill! Stayed there with my wife last year. Great wee hotel, close to the old city walls and within walking distance of the centre.
