Did you know this mobile phone model??

(Not a joke for a change )

I'm feeling nostalgic and I would like to buy a mobile phone like the first one I had. I'm having trouble to find one in good condition here in Spain, it's like all went to the bin long ago. So I thought I'd search for it on Ebay UK but no joy. Then I did some Internet search and came to the conclusion that this phone may have never been sold in the UK, at least with the same model name, which in Spain and other countries was Ericsson GF-788. I can't look for it at Ebay US since I need the 900 MHz version of the phone. I wonder for how long I'll stay with a phone that displays 10 characters at a time instead of a whole short message like my current one..

Cheers,

Alex

I think they did sell over here

It looks like one of my first.

I think the model number also rings a bell. You might just have to keep on looking.

Regards,
Adam.

I though it was sold here as a t18 or 20 or 28. I have seen some on recon UK web sites. I only just got rid of mine. Ideal no frills mobile that was nice and slim so no hassle to carry around in your pocket, and who's going to mug you for it!

T18

Saw one today on the flea market . If there'd been a charger with it I might have had it 'cos it looked retro.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Cheers guys!

Thank you Bob but it has to be the 788. They are all functionally equivalent but it's not exactly functionality what I'm looking for!! I'll get what I used to have, even same color if can find it

Actually I may have found one for sale just yesterday here in Spain. Need to take a look to it...
