My 11 year old son is really into them, so I have to listen to them. I have to say they are not bad!
Yesterday the two of us drove to his football (soccer) game (they won!); we were listening to Deep Purple, and Led Zeplin on the radio and discussed the influence of the "old timers" on bands such as Linckin Park.
Rock on!
KT
Talking about "old timers" I have just heard John Lennon sing an accoustic version of "Working Class Hero" on the "accoustic" CD released a few months ago; stunning.

Been there, done that...

My previous incarnation a long time ago started a fairly popular thread that resurfaces now and again..

im into all kinds - mainly rap and indie stuff.
loving jay-z's whole album - the black album.
also love the killers and razorlight.
not too impressed with eminems new one either.
not sure which jaz z and lnkin park song you mean, i think my favourite one is dirt off your shoulder.

I hear Sir Cliff's got a new album out then. You hum it and I'll beat your head in.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

i've heard the one of numb and encore most often, but they played most of collision course on mtv2 the other day.

theres some good tracks come out of it and think it should do pretty well. certainly brightens up most sets on radio 1 and definitely helps galaxy. they should play more old school hip hop on the radio imo. a bit of de la soul never hurt anyone - beats eminem

and the best thing kurt cobain ever did for music was shoot himself in the head. just wish he'd done it sooner
