Hi all

Hi all just thought I'd say hi and introduce myself.

I just thought I'd look around for ideas on what to build as I am thinking about getting back into the whole kit car type thing again. after a 14 year break.

Hi and welcome! Are you looking at building a kit from a manufacturer or doing it all yourself?

By the way, is your name from Red Dwarf by any chance? I've just finished watching that episode, weird or what?!

Well like I say I've built a couple of kits before (well lets not call them kits but unique pieces of functional art).
I've also restored a couple of classic cars (never again)

So I was thinking of having something inbetween.

something with a classic type look but something that is new and fast. (well newish) preferably based on the honda civic type r engine (I was told not to put one in more current car or I would get lynched so next best thing is to build one)

Also I was mainly wanting to use the car for track day fun and the occasional sunny day because the track use my current car is getting is starting to take it's toll and it's a pain to work on it. (mk3 crx)

Hello and Welcome.

Whereabouts are ya ? Maybe there are some members near you.

If you have to tools, go for making your own chassis. Otherwise it's probably cheaper to buy a chassis from GTS,etc
