Anyone got a trailer?
Is there anyone in my area who has a car trailer and is willing to help me for 20mins on Saturday? I need to take my Xreg escort to have a respray as
it was vandalised but it's no longer Taxed, Mot'd or insured.
It's only going 5 miles down the road but I wouldn't want to risk it.
Cheers

Why don't you tow it? That's legal, I think.

No wheels must touch the road without tax, MOT or insurance!
It's only legal if a garage does the towing, using their trade plates (which have associated 3rd party insurance).
Is there a branch of Indespension near you? They hire out trailers.

Don't think so mate - Plus I don't have a tow bar!! I was hoping someone would have a setup and give me a hand - nevermind, Might just
drive it and take the risk - actually no I won't because I won't be insured!!! SHIT!!!
I'll have to think.

Is the place you're going to a professional place, or just a friend? If it's a prof. sprayer they must have contacts...
Good luck!

Get it insured as an additional car on your existing policy for a short time, normally pretty cheap. Then book teh car in for an MOT somewhere just
past the spray place and drive it there legally. If you don't get stopped on the way, phone and cancel the MOT appointment. All legal, and
pretty cheap.
