Sierra tran-x problem

I have a sierra diff case with tran-x plated diff installed.
The drive flanges have been modified to take snap rings to the tran-x dimensions but near side shaft is bottoming out before the snap ring "snaps" into place.

Just wondering If anyone else has come accross this issue?

Try changing side to side?

yes both flanges are the same length.

tried swapping side to side earlier and the problem remains.
Going to send the diff back to where it was rebuilt and see if they can work it out.

^^^

Seems a good idea to return it to source and ask them to look at it. Let's hope they can resolve it for you.
