website

Finally got round to starting my website. Nowhere near completed but basic form is up there. Some information in Events and some Pics in Gallery but lots more to do.

Would value any constructive input at this stage

Looking good. I especially like the photo's in the gallery.

One thing though...that yellow Fury looks like it has a very narrow rear wheel!!

You can send me the orig pic and i can do it again for you if you want.

Good clean uncluttered site.

The pictures are quite large files.... could be slow for non-broadband users.

Just my observation...

I am on Broadband and found the whole site slow Especially the pictures. There are a few programs out there which will resample the image so the file size is smaller and hence speed up the site generally.

The layout looks good though and the general feel of the site is pretty great.

Site is probably mainly slow as it's sat on the end of my cable connection with only a 128k uplink. Once finished, I'll find somewhere a little quicker to host it.

I agree with some of the pictures - 200k is a little large. I'm currently using the Frontpage Gallery feature and not really happy with it. Once finished I'm aiming for 3 picture qualities - thumbnail (v. small), web image (<100k), original (up to 250k). Probably use http://gallery.menalto.com/ - I've got it installed but not really played with sorting the formatting yet.
