Whenever I see blatantly excessive money being spent on ebay I wonder why and how.
Doesn't it make you suspicious?

Only last week I sold a PC, Shuttle SN41G2 with AMD XP2000+ with 1Gig of memory (133).
That lot went for £255.00 with was only £50 short of my upgrade. TBH I reckon the lot should have gone for about £150.
Biostar iDeq 210P with AMD 64 3200 and 512 DDR.
That's quite an upgrade for just £50. I was worried in case he didn't pay up, not only did he pay, he payed by bank transfer (no
protection)
Also last week, someone bought my brothers Freeview box, this box was about 12 months old, no card slot for 'Top up TV'. He payed £40.00
for it and sold if for £75.00.
Madness, I love eBay.

I've just won a Dymo labelmaker happy happy joy joy.....Trouble is I bid on another in case and I'm winning that as well. I suppose
we'll just have to have one each.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I only bid once on an item, if it goes over that they can have it. There's always another of most things I want. £10 isn't going to
break the bank.

I also love ebay and have managed to buy lots of stuff for my build , lights shocks ect and sold of stuff to help finance this project the trick is of
course to work out what you are prepared to pay and to use one of the snipe sites like "bid Tamer " and thus to bid at the last posible
moment there is a thrill in it . with regaurd to their being no protection in using a bank transfer well on ebay that is not strictly correct because
each ebay seller gives great value to the feedback score and that NEEDS happy costomers . All in all I think Ebay is one of the best things on the web
.
best wishes

Well,
I've now had the cheque through for my webers, so am happy to mention it.
They sold on ebay with the linkage, cable and pump for 820 pounds, I was expecting/hoping for 350!
I'd heard you couldn't buy them new anymore but this is ridiculous. Pays for a lot more of my throttle body setup than I'd of hoped
for.
Ned.

I love ebay too
Got a decent laptop wireless networking gubbins... all for £150. Now all my PC's and laptops are networked and dancing a merry treat.
The laptop just needed all the the SH!TE clearing out of it... (format c Installed XP and away we go... marvellous!!!
I have one PC connected to broadband and the other PC's can access that connection, they can also use my 'shared' files should I
choose to let them!
Great I say...

The thing that puzzles me is how for example a rear wheel bearing for a Escort can go for 30 pounds and just a few items futher down the list an
identical one can't get a bid at a fiver start price.
I am pretty sure some of the auctions are fixed by the seller bidding under a different identity , however I am glad to see the practice of low start
price but a hidden high reserve has been stopped at least on lower price items.
I get pretty peed off with the ammount of new trashy junk sold under car brand categories --- A search for Lotus or Porche or MG will return
loads of paper weights, wallets , valve caps, led windscren washer jets, CD Players.
But I have to admire the inventiveness of some sellers such as the guy who sells Hillman Hunter front side lights as "very very very very very
rare" works Escort items and gets 70 - 80 pounds a pair for them. In contrast the guy selling a set of leaf spring lowering blocks and long U
bolts for as Escort as "Locost, Caterham or Westfield" didn't get many points in my book.
