New Ultima world record (again!!!)
My mate has just broken his own world record in the ultima, and set a lateral G record as well.
here's the link for the 0-100-0 record. 0-60 in 2.8 secs on road tyres ain't too shoddy, neither is 9.8 sec 0-100-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(plus he reccons on being able to knock that down to low 9's!!!)

Beautifully done
I told one of my lecturers about this the other day, not knowing they had broken it again.
Just proves that V8's will still beat those bike engines

It will be interesting to see how Chris at Z Cars goes in the one he has built. He will have the power and 4wd but that is a pretty impressive target
to aim for.

Best ask Dax
Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

What amazes me in those statistics is how far it took to reach 60mph - just over 37 metres!
Pace out 37 metres, then imagine hitting 60mph as you cross that line... phew!

very interesting. Is Chris having problems with it, as it was "finished" at the autosport show in January but still doesn't seem to
have broken cover. my mate tells me he is struggling to get the traction control and "engine-co-ordination" electronics sorted
properly.
Personally (but I am biased!) I think he will struggle to beat it, plus Ultima's car will totally trounce in round a track, and be vasty more
reliable as it is just SO simple!!
Further to that, if he does beat them, they have several more engine developments in the pipeline with American
Speed..................................................!!!!
I don't know what these are but I know they have well over 700hp from a road driveable small block v8 (alloy block and heads) and that is just
naturally aspirated, hate to think what might happen if a supercharger somehow got attached!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also know that all this sounds expensive..........well, ok it isn't "Locost" but the engine they are using at the moment was
apparently £11,000. Which is ruddy cheap for the power it is making!!!!!!!!!!! (The US exchange rate makes american engines very cheap at the moment!)

Remember the problems Chris had getting 2 normal ZX9R engines syncronised in the 1st Tiger, imagine all the extra electronics that need syncronising
in these 500bhp turbo engines! But he will get it eventually, and when he does it will be extremely quick.
