Who exactly are SPD? What have they done to make everyone dislike them?

Looked like the chassis for an RS200 replica, and a 7 with a bulbous arse (GRP wasnt very good).

I think it was infact these guys....

http://www.sportsandleisurecars.co.uk

Who according to totalkitcar.com bought out some of the rsjigtec stuff last year:
http://www.totalkitcar.com/tkc_article_862.php (see about 1/3rd the way down).

All is ok if they have updated the cars i guess.

The snake looks like the 7 with a fat ar5e that i seem to remember seeing (think it was light blue).

I've spoken to the bloke on that stand at a couple of shows. Basically southern whatever they call themselves had money in rsjigtec and when they went tits up they inherited the former spd/rs jigtec snake.

they have incidentally sorted out all the dodgy from suspension mounts.

I asked them about the spd 200 (rs200 replica) they had on th stand, suggesting they might rename it and develop the chassis but they said they didn't own the rights to it and were selling it on behalf of someone else.. the plot thickens

Ned.

I saw them. They were definitely there. One Seven type replica with rippled fibreglass, some pictures of other cars including RS200, and a scruffy bloke slouching on a chair watching everyone walk straight past.

Definitely was SPD.

Thought the Aston body was excellent.
