Power Steering Fluid

Do I need a special fluid, or just decent brake fluid?

The power steering fluid I have used is not like brake fluid at all.

I would suggest buying the proper stuff

Cheers

Different cars need different types too - sometimes automatic transmission fluid is required rather than power steering fluid.

Auto transmision fluid ---- BUT some types of of auto transmision fluid should not be mixed wih others -- probably isn't a major problem with power steering but it can cause major problems with transmissions.
Best to check which fluid the system was original filled with.
