Glad this wasn't me!!!!!!!!
At the autograss meeting last weekend (that I went on about on here) this crash happened in the class 10 final. I couldn't help thinking a big
specials accident was brewing, my nerves were really on edge in my races, though I never had to worry about finals!!
PS many photos available at www.autograssreview.com, lots of really good shots from the recent meetings. No connection I hasten to add!

I was watching a Sky programme about Midget racing in the USA. One driver - a woman - won a special award for the greatest altitude achieved in a
season! She went looping about 3 car lengths up after crossing wheels with another car.
She walked away, fortunately.

I think now everyone can understand why i keep saying NS Dev is a fast driver if he'd just be more committed. When he's not risking his
life he's as fast or faster than everyone else he races........
When it comes to balls out oh my god i hope i don't die / achieve orbit trying to get round this corner with 4 other cars - he slows down!
Can't think why

Cheers Mike!!
The driver of the car was ok, he was released by the on site medical crews, but couldn't walk when he got home and has sustained some internal
knee damage but it is not permanent apparently.
His dad made the comment in Motorsport News that he was glad that he was driving a modern design car which was very strong in a multiple roll
accident.........................glad I built mine along the "modern chassis" lines then!!
He also confirmed my suspicion and what MikeR was eluding to, in that apparently he knew nothing of the causes of the accident, it happened up the
straight from the startline. With 8 cars starting 8 abreast (like motocross) the cars tend to bunch up towards the first corner, and will hit 80+ mph
after 150yds or so, and he thinks that he got "pinched" between two other cars, but "kept his foot in", then locked wheels and
flipped................which does tend to happen and always gives me heart-in-the-mouth moments off the startline!!
