The power people have denied a power surge in the area.
Only 16 miles from me, and a lot of friends working there....

So far, 5 stations reporting probable bombs, and explosions on 3 buses.

Although there's also been an explosion on a bus that blew the top off - that wouldn't be a power surge...

At least one of our locosters works in that very area, I have just texted him (about 10 minutes ago)...still waiting for a reply...

i'm ok, phone networks are up and down like yoyo's here.
was evacuated from waterloo and walked as far as russell square to find the bomb guys closed the road. got to work opposite euston via an alternative
route and am picking up the propoganda from internet news websites.
i heard the taviton place bus blast go off, def not a power surge, heard reports of bus blowing up and people dead/injured...
what fun i will have getting home today/tonight

My wife works in Hammersmith and a bomb went off just down the road from her so i was havving kittens when i head (i was in Tesco's at the time)
so i rushed home but she's ok. Christ knows how people are going to get home tonight.

but what doesn't help is the dumbing down of the whole thing
...only 2 confirmed deaths ...did anyone see the bus that got blasted apart and it was packed.
i thought we'd seen the last of this type of thing.

Just waiting for Ken Clarke to come on now and tell us all how ID cards would have stopped it ...........
Just hope everyone on this site and their freinds/relatives are OK
My sympathy goes out to all those who are/know the injured and dead - I'm sure the death toll will grow considerably by the end of the day

Glad I got off the tube!
I just got off the phone to my girlfriend, apparently the train I got off at Holborn might have been the one that crashed or whatever at Russel
Square. I was supposed to stay on it but thought I'd walk the rest of the way. Think I'll be walking home tonight too...

Just heard that the emergency services from my town are now being drafted in to help.
Glad you are safe Nick, fingers crossed for the other(s) I know of that haven't has yet 'signed' in on the site....communications I
