has it recently had a cambelt? does the cam and injector pump have vernier pulleys? ive had a few diesel cars at work with lack of power that turn out
to be cam/injector timing.

Diesel slugs...
I have Toyota Surf which is a standard 2.4TD.
Little tricks Ive done to give it a bit more go, these may work on a Disco.
Disconnect the EGR valve. I know its only supposed to work on overun but shoving exhaust gas into the turbo can't be good.
I packed out the wastegate by about 2mm (a couple of washers) this has given another 2 or 3 PSI on the boost.
Also put a resister across the IAT sensor to trick the motor into thinking the air was warmer than it is? That was the theory but didnt work very well
so removed it, apparently can have large effect on some diesel lumps!
Total cost of performance upgrades....about 5p....
Extreme Locost.

that could be the 300 tdi or the td5 and reall you need to know because what you can do to them is very different and so are the results you can
expect

try a bigger intercooler... go down the scrappy and find a nice big intercoller from one of those turboed up jap imports and plumb it in infront of
the rad ... or if youve got a bit more to spend ...

give them a ring and speak to colin hell be more then happy to tell you what you can do to get better performance from your disco
a k&n airfilter ..
and you can adjust boost pressure but if your not to familiar with the engine its probably best left to the professionals
here is a link to a site that will give you alot of things you can do aswell some are quite complicated

Use the horse to tow the Disco? As already suggested check the cam and pump timing , check ALL induction hoses and intercooler connections . If you
find no problems try to fit a pressure gauge to inlet after turbo if you have no boost gauge , once had an intercooler pipe blow off and lost a
massive amount of power
