anyone know a good nationwide drain unblocking company? or one local to hull? ive used dynorod in the past and they seemed both expensive and useless.
100 pounds to tell me it was too solidly blocked for them.

You're probably better off going down Travis Perkins, hiring some for £30 and doing it yourself. Not only do you know the job's done right
but it sounds like it'll be a lot cheaper too!

not a bad plan per se, but that would involve a day off work and a long drive! Its not my own house you see, i have a lovely old lady living in it
and the local council is moaning about the drain

Buy a set of rods and get in there man, what's up with you. Stick the ball attachment on and you won't drag anything unmentionable out
when you pull the rods back out . Do it on Sunday so you don't lose a day

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

i rung round on a sunday afternoon once when the pipe got blocked and the manhole was filling up. all the prices i got were horrendous and I refused
to pay what they were asking, then i remembered a friend of mine must have some rods, so went and did it myself. very simpe job, just make sure you
wash your hands etc thoroughly affterwards as tehre can be some nasty germs about when you think about what is blocking it up

Don't like the ball attachment use the pigs tail thing, dont forget to keep screwing the rods clockwise as you push/pull otherwise you'l
lose the rods in the drain , (then you'l be in the shite) probably cheaper to buy a set in the long run . You never know when you will need them
again.

Try to rod from upstream of the blockage if you can. It's not very nice when a wall of shitty water rushes and fills the manhole you're
stood in front of.
