Shareaza not finding much

Using Shareaza to find some more obsure/older things that I can't get with torrents. Used to use Kazaalite but lost the programme when I got a new PC.

So I've just downloaded Shareaza, as recommended by a few on here, and I'm finding bugger all. It's searching ok, if I put in something really obvious like Elvis it will return results. But something a little less obvious, like Paul Weller or Nick Drake and absolutely nothing, which seems a little odd, as Kazaa I'm sure, used to find this kind of stuff.

Any thoughts? Or am I asking too much?

I use LimeWire and managed to get a heap of Paul Weller stuff just today. I have his CD's of course, just wanted to have mp3 backups and can't be bothered to rip...

Would installing Kazaa Lite not be an obvious option?

It would be if I had a copy - duuuurrrrrr

Lime Wire seems to be doing the job well enough - just got hold of a track I've been after for ages - Roy Budds main theme from Get Carter - a superb piece of music.

Can't you just download it?

No Worries Mate,

LimeWire seems to be good for getting obscure songs that I can't find anywhere else. Interface is quite nice too, bit better than Zazaa anyhoo.

HTH,
Nick

I find the P2P programs a little too risky to use anymore with the RIAA and such.

this guy has much better info on finding files.

My daughters' bloke got an email from Dreamworks warning him to stop his download of Madagascar immediately and remove what he has from his drive or face prosecution yesterday. He's a bit worried now .

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
