Have they done anything to it or is that pure mark-up (apart from polishing perhaps)?

Called into Sovereign the other day - just down the road from me - they have a lot of cars there and they are seriously expensive. I think they do OK though, there must be a lot of people who want Cobra and the security of buying from a garage.

There was a Dax in there for £32,500 - nice car, but never worth that much

They also had a Hummer there - MASSIVE

Vince

If you don't mind me asking, what did it really cost you to build to that standard?

My wife wants a Cobra (serves me right for dragging her round all the shows this last year or so). I spoke to AK at Harrogate who said £18-20K was a reasonable build budget, plus a big lump of hours.

Mine cost me about 14k with a rover V8 lump.

If I was going to build another then it would have to be a Crendon and a FORD lump. None of that chevvy crap.

GD has a great chassis however they struggle to fit side pipes. It's not a cobra without side pipes IMHO. I've got a friend in the cobra club who is building a GD and fitting side pipes. He's finding it hard work.

Take a look at the new AK chassis and body kit.... with the new Jag stuff they may have got it right. Do check with Ken though. Mine bump steered with the 17 inch halibrands on. Their cure..... set the shocks harder..... not right.
