About to build new 'pooter

Wish me luck.........................After this post the power to the pc is going off for the last time.......................new pc build (and stripdown of old one for some of the bits) starts in a short while.

If I'm not back online soon, it means the build didn't go to plan!!!

Good luck. I'm building my third soon. I'm using an ammo crate and making my own water cooling system

I love mini itx! But not this time, no. I definately want to at some point though

EDITL: Just realised you probably were referring to the 50.cal machine gun ammo mod, that's really cool isn't it. I'm using a mortar crate so it's scaled up basically

I agree, although I'd kill myself if I had either combination Micras make me chuck.

The ammo crate i'm using was £2 from army surplus, easy to drill holes and mount things to so it's very much a locost mod. I'm trying to make is as much function over fashion as possible.

Well, I'm back, but not on my home PC!!

Trust me to pick a bank hol to build the new PC, then find my old AGP (2x) graphics card doesn't fit the new mother board!!!! (4x or 8x) Doh!!

Shiny new graphics card should be winging it's was from overclockers today so hopefully tonight should be online at home again!

wish I actually knew something about pc's!!!! Engines I can cope with, engine management no bother, but pc's..............it's like greek to me.

I have to "configure my bios to enable S-ATA ports" to enable my shiny new hard drive with it's apparently whizzy SATA interface to work. read the motherboard manual and now I am more worried................ah well, we'll see tonight!
