Next project!
As the car is very nearly built - I'm likely to apply for SVA after the w/end, and assuming there are no major probs, I have been thinking of
future projects. Similar budget to locost (ie my argument is that I could spend a grand a year playing golf or watching some blokes kick a ball
around).
Like the idea of a rwd k series mini, or Mustang powered/sebring arched MGB etc etc
Suggestions please. This could be quite interesting. Oh yeah - no kits - been there, (nearly) done that got the (Caterham) t- shirt (given
to me!!)

I think a gutted porsche 914 shell on one of the middie type chassis that some are making here would nice.
I was going to rebuild one before I started my build but I could not get my feet in the pedal area.

Thanks

I think a nice 3dr E30 BMW 318i with the engine thrown away and a 300bhp 200sx engine and box put in would be cool?

Why not go for the modified single seater. a few around that you can modify to what ever power plant takes your fancy. Oh and remember as it is for
track day use you will have no tax, insurance or sva to think about, just pure engineering fun!

Why not turn your attention to future £1000 winter projects for the locost and do some hill climbs / track days etc to have some fun with it.
Project 1 = build nice new engine
Project 2 - throttle body injection and 3D control system
Project 3 - Data logger system
Im planning future winter projects already - just ideas at this stage. Ive enjoyed the build so much that i need to keep busy otherwise ill get bored
when the dark nights set in. Im just praying that ill enjoy driving the car as much as ive enjoyed building it - ive never driven a se7en yet - mad or
what!!!

Hellfire,
Yeah it's abit extreme, but required to cover the SU's. When I'm rich I'm gonna get a Weber 500 and remodel the bonnet -
without the bump, and smooth out the lines around the front.

I'd mistake the whole car for the engine and "accidently" bin the lot
