Hi everyone, have you all missed me? (doubt it).
This is an Interesting subject as I am going through the same process at the moment for an alledged 75 in a 40. I'm also going the S172 para. 4
route. I gave no reply to the NIP and have been threatened with court action, £1000 fine, 6 points and 59 day ban.
Pepipoo is another helpful site for advice on all things speeding related.
7 out of 10 people suffer with hemorrhoids. Does that mean the other 3 enjoy them?

We went this route S172 P4 - they sent a lovely clear photograph of the purpitrator with a great big smile on his face - bless him. Got his 3 points
but he swore blind it wasn't him!
Well can have a good laugh about it now

Already had the photographic evidence sent to me. 'Twas a mobile unit that took a picture from the rear from the opposite side of the road and
managed to get a lamp post exactly where the driver should be. Bugger....

i have been down this route and got the MS90 failure to provide info endoresment to prove it.
It was crap 'internet advice' that sent me down that daft route.
The human rights thing doesnt work.
It was explained to me by the two officers who threatened to arrest me at my place of work for not filling in the form (4 times I sent it back with a
dunno) unless I submitted to interview, was that you are merely being asked who drove the car at the time. The offence is ALLEGED at the time, and you
are not under a charge. So, bollox as it sounds, you are not incriminating yourself.
If you have a soft magistrate, or money to burn in the euro courts, fight it. I would have saved 90 quid by paying the 60 fine.
during the 3 times they sent me the uncompleted form back, I was threatened with 'failing to provide' and the speeding offence. Bollox
that - they needed me to admit in order to do me for speeding!
As it was, failing to provide is a clear cut offence. Thats all I got done for. Just the failing to provide info.
So, if 3 points (same as speeding) and about 3x the fine and being frowned upon by Ins co as worse than speeding is your bag, then way to go.
The only time I would recommend not filling the form in is
A. You were doing ballistic speed where the points would have been greater than 3.
B. You and your wife (or whatever) were in the car and they dont have a face pic. I wonder what would happen if you got into a circular argument
blaming each other.
I have also wondered if you could blame it on Aunti Maud, who was over from the USA , Belgian congo, whatever, who borrowed your car. And give a crap
adress in Montana or Buloweyo or summat.
