Longbridge Scandal & Punch ups
A couple of articles from autowired ---
No comment on Nanjing's slow payment for Rover
PRICE WATERHOUSE Coopers would make no comment on press reports that Nanjing Auto is behind with its payments for the purchase of MG Rover assets.
"For confidential reasons we cannot discuss payment terms," a spokesman for the MG Rover administrators said.
The Chinese car manufacturer is thought to have paid around £5m as a deposit when it scooped the Longbridge assets last month.
The balance of around £53m is thought to have due last week on August 22.
GB Sports Car, Nanjing's English partner in the attempt to resurrect car production at Longbridge, also declined to comment on Nanjing's
payment terms.

'Who owns what' disputes flare-up at Longbridge
SECURITY GUARDS at the MG Rover plant in Longbridge are on the watch to prevent representatives of Nanjing Auto removing blueprints which may not
belong to them.
It is alleged that in one incident, a security man spread himself over a car bonnet to prevent documents, which may belong to Nanjing's rival,
Shanghai Automotive Industries Corporation, being removed from the site.
SAIC maintains it bought the intellectual property rights to a number of car and engine designs in a deal before MG Rover went into administration in
April.
Adrian Ross, Transport & General Workers' Union convenor at the plant says that in another incident, some Chinese gentlemen were asked to
leave an office when they were spotted removing drawings off the wall. "The design block is now all locked-up," he confirmed.
