Reversing cameras
The only fault I find with my Rover 75 is it is a pig to reverse -- The inside mirror is usless and the external mirrors show nothing beyond the rear
door handles.
I already have reverse sensors fitted (4 sensor system made be Veba excellent quality) but having watched a neighbour reverse his 75 into a post I
have decided to fit a reversing camera -- prices off eBay aren't bad anybody got any experience of these systems.

had one rigged up just for a laugh in my escort i used to have. very usefull things really!
biggest thing to say about them is you get what you pay for. if you go for the cheapest you can then you'll get a fish eye lense that is shite
for seeing anything!
built a car, built a home, had a family. lost the family, lost the home, still got the car.

The reason Rover 75's have bad visability when reversing is because old people can't look behind them like they used to!
Sorry just had to add that!!
I had a Rover 75 and i loved it. Nearly bought a MG 75 but couldn't get a good deal.

my son is learning to drive and he was recommended to buy supplementary mirrors by his instructor.
These are little tiny mirros that clip on the rim of your existing mirror and can be angled to blind spots, or rear wheel positions.
a fiver each from Halfords.
much cheaper - isnt it illegal to have a 'tv screen' in front of the driver?

A note about Ebay, beware, that kind of stuff is mostly shipped from Hong Kong, which means you'll be waiting weeks for it (even months in my
friends experience with an mp3 player) and its not uncommon for it not to arrive at all.
Just a heads up!

Or to get a lot of import tax whacked on it. Many ebay ads say there is no tax - wont be their end, but if yours is a parcel thats examined, prepare
to pay another 30% or so.

My girlfriend's Mum has just bought one (in the lovely Candy(?) blue they do) that is 1 year old, has done just 2100miles and only cost her 12K!
I think they were 20K a year ago.
Cheers,
James

I bought my Laguna sports tourer 1.9dci at 6 months old with 6k on the clock.
List was 18k, i got it for 12k ,...... some cars just depreciate a lot.
In 3 years time when its done 120k id be happy to get more than 2 grand for it.

no less I would expect than any boring family saloon such as a mondeo or vectra.
Virgin were offering mondeo 2.0 diesel sallons for 12k NEW when I was looking around!!!!!!
a rover 75 1.8 club petrol was even less - that was BEFORE they went bust

The electric blue looks terrific --- love the MG dash looks much better than the fake wood in the 75.
One tip for her is if it is on Michelin or Dunlop tyres to pump up the pressure by about +4 psi otherwise the tyres wear much too quickly at the
edges, A lot of owners on the Yahoo 75 and ZT lost report it doubles tyre life.
