gel filled batteries

Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy gel filled batteries, I need a couple of 12v 12ah jobs for my dads scooter

For a mobility scooter?

You'll want AGMs, not jell cells.

AGM's are Absorbed Glass Mat batteries, and they use a liquid electrolyte soaked into a fiberglass material between the plates.

Jells don't really like to be deep cycled, while AGM's have a low resisitance and can put out high currents without much Pukert losses.

I'm not sure what type of batteries they are offhand but what about the ones used in backups for fire and burglar alarms.
I have used them in the past in a freinds kids electric jeep.
