Nokia Software

Last time I installed Nokia's software onto my PC I couldn't get it off again (no uninstaller).

Now I've got a new phone, I'm not sure if I should install it again or not. Have I got any (better) options?

All I want to do is transfer my phone bok, contacts etc from one to the other, and load mp3 ringtones etc..

Cheers,

Graham

Some programmes have an uninstaller built into the install prog.. ie you get a
Install, repair, uninstall option after running the install programme

Latest software has uninstallers... but they always leave the folders behind... I've just upgarded from 6230 to 6230i - using Nokia PC Suite.. backed it all up in less than 3 minutes!

Latest Nokia phone's you can even access the Memory Card not like the old 6230 - much improved model!

Better off buying a blue tooth thingy, that plugs into your usb.

I have one, and my machine is on the floor under my desk and the phone sits on the desk. dead easy to link the two, no banging your head on the desk.

the device guiness refers to is sometimes called a 'bluetooth dongle', and it can be used to connect several bluetooth devices at once (up to 7?).

I use a regular usb data cable, as i only have a few things to connect. Infact, i need a new one as i have 3 devices and only 2 ports...

I've installed the software but can't get an Infra Red connection
I think XP is being to clever and keeps saying another computer is near by. I have sent a picture to the phone using the XP file transfer thing that pops up, by need to get the Nokia software working to back up my contacts.

Any ideas?
